My passion for art showed very early on when as a child I spent most of my time drawing and painting anything and anywhere. Horses and human figures being my favourite subject, I studied animal and human anatomy from art books to capture the bone structure and muscle tones accurately.
However, my career path took me in a different direction and instead of art I landed an exciting job in Marketing a PR. It wasn’t until I became a mum of three when my passion for painting returned and I felt that this was my time to embark on a new career path. I taught myself how to paint with oils and attended numerous workshops. Soon I received my first commission. As well as commissions of horse and pet portraits in oil I also create my own equestrian art. One of my paintings ‘Worood’ was last year selected by the Society of Equestrian Artists for their annual exhibition.
I have recently joined the Tadworth Art Group and have enjoyed the company of fellow artists. I believe that this opportunity will enable me to take my art to the next level whilst being a part of a group of likeminded people.
